Madrasah in Just 5 Minutes

In the light of the Qur'aan and Ahadeeth

(1) Islaamic History
His real name was Khaalid bin Zaid Najjaari and his nickname was Abu Ayyoob. When Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)  migrated to Madinah, he stayed with Hadhrat Abu Ayyoob (RA) for approximately seven months. He was always ready to sacrifice his wealth and self for the Deen and would exert himself to fulfil the commands of Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) . For this reason, he was present in every expedition that Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)  led. Even after Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)  passed away, he undertook lengthy journeys to strive in the path of Allaah. He was ninety years of age and suffering ill health when he travelled with the Muslim army to Constantinople during the Khilaafah of Hadhrat Mu'aawiya (RA). When he fell critically ill on the way, he narrated that he heard Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)  say, “As far as a person is from home at the time that he dies in the path of Allaah, so much closer will he be to me on the Day of Qiyaamah.” He therefore bequeathed that the others carry his body along with them for as far as they could after he passed away and bury him as far as they were able to. It was a miracle of his that they managed to carry his body with them for many days without it decomposing and he was finally laid to rest in Constantinople. This took place in the year 52 A.H.
(2) Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ’s Miracle

Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)  was returning from a journey with the Sahabah   (RA) when there blew a strong wind as they approached Madinah. This wind is blowing because of the death of a hypocrite.” When they reached Madinah, they found out that a hypocrite has passed away.

[Muslim 7041, from Hadhrat Jaabir (RA)]

(3) A Fardh

When he dispatched Hadhrat Mu'aadh bin Jabal (RA) to Yemen, Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)  instructed him saying, “Inform them (the people of Yemen) that Allaah has made it Fardh (obligatory) for them to pay zakaah on their wealth.”

[Bukhaari 1496, from Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Abbaas (RA)]

Zakaah becomes Fardh (obligatory) for a person when he possesses wealth equal to Nisaab.

(4) A Du’aa from the Qur'aan and Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)

Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)  said that when entering the home, a person should recited the following du’aa before greeting with Salaam:

PUT ARABIC

[Abu Dawood 5096, from Hadhrat Abu Maalik Ash'ari (RA)]

(5) An Important Act and its Virtue

Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)  said, “Allaah has 99 names. Whoever memorises them shall enter Jannah.”

[Bukhaari 6410, from Hadhrat Abu Hurayrah (RA)]

(6) A Sin

Allaah says in the Qur'aan, “(Such people are) Those who spend their wealth to show people and who neither believe in Allaah nor in the Last Day. The one whose friend is Shaytaan, (should bear in mind that) he is the worst (most evil) of friends indeed (because he leads people only to Jahannam)”.

[Surah Nisaa, verse 38]

(7) This World

Allaah says in the Qur'aan,Plenty were the gardens and springs that they (the people of Fir'oun) left behind along with the plantations, palatial homes and articles of pleasure (luxuries) which they enjoyed. So it (their story) was. (As always,) We then made others successors to this (for others to enjoy). Neither the sky nor the earth wept for them (for the people of Fir'oun when they were destroyed), and (when the time for their destruction arrived,) they were denied reprieve (because it was too late)”.

[Surah Dukhaan, 25-29]

(8) The Aakhirah

Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)  said, “If a person remains constantly in the Masjid from the day he is born until he dies, he will regard even this to be too little on the Day of Qiyaamah.”

[Ahmad 17198, from Hadhrat Muhammad bin Abi Umayrah (RA)]

(9) Cures from the Qur'aan and Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)

Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)  advised that pomegranates be eaten with their seeds it brings new life to a person’s stomach.

[Ahmad 22726, from Hadhrat Ali (RA)]

Allaama Ibn Qayyim رحمه الله writes that together with strengthening the stomach, pomegranates are also beneficial in curing people from coughs that they have been suffering from for a long time.

(10) Advice from Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)

Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)  said, “AR Rahmaan showers mercy upon those who show mercy to others. Show mercy to those on earth and Him in the heavens shall show mercy unto you.”

[Tirmidhi 1924, from Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Amr (RA)]
